But not until people started dying from Vioxx did all the warnings by consumer groups and doctors finally get some attention. Bill Frist actually pushed for a two year moratorium on ads, but Big Pharma convinced the Senate that they promised to do a better job at enforcing themselves. They would clean up their act.

But there's another reason this needs to go away. What has angered me greatly was that there's no time for this. Not in a time when class action law suits are under assault by the Administration and the Corpor-o-crats who are trying to turn private businesses into law.
