New Muckraker

A look at Alicia Rebensdorf and her take on big pharma.

Gradually Americans discovered that they had a lot of other problems from sleepless to restless legs to toe fungus. But not until people started dying from Vioxx did all the warnings by consumer groups and doctors finally get some attention. Bill Frist actually pushed for a two year moratorium on ads, but Big Pharma convinced the Senate that they promised to do a better job at enforcing themselves. They would clean up their act.

Can We Stop Talking About His Pants Now?

A look at the impact of the $54M lawsuit on class action lawsuits.

But there's another reason this needs to go away. What has angered me greatly was that there's no time for this. Not in a time when class action law suits are under assault by the Administration and the Corpor-o-crats who are trying to turn private businesses into law.

Trying To Settle

Check the Cavalcade of Risk for lots of good personal injury law blog posts.

Over at the New York Personal Injury Law Blog, Eric Turkewitz tells the tale of an insurance company that wants to settle, and a doctor that doesn’t. The insurer settles anyway. The doctor sues.
