Lessons From Merck's Approach To Vioxx
These are some of the comments from the jurors on the recently concluded trial in the Vioxx recall case against Merck. I have been in countless conference rooms where technologists and marketing folks have strategized how they could get away without disclosing something to the customer. Most of the time they get away with it but as this case shows, once they get caught, the end is near for that business.

More Vioxx Commentary
On why the Vioxx verdict creates a public health risk. From Richard Epstein writing on OpinionJournal. The author is, like me, in the industry, but I believe his points are quite solid. My initial take on the subject is here.

Vioxx and Easy Money
The link will take you to Health24.com and that will give you the only numbers I could find regarding any increased cardiac risk due to Vioxx. Specifically, in a clinical trial of 4000 people, there was a .5% risk of a cardiac event (e.g., heart attack). However, there was a 14.6% risk of a cardiovascular problem (i.e., anything short of a heart attack, etc.)

How Do I Choose a Good Personal Injury Lawyer?
Personal injury cases are serious matters. They often involve grave injury, permanent disability, and even death. Victims depend on the personal injury lawyer to recover financial damages that are required to cover their medical treatments, replace permanently lost income, and compensate for their pain and suffering.

Viper Class Action
Since everyone in America sues everyone else (especially if you live in California or took Celebrex), I am suggesting a class action law suit against VCA for real and punitive damages. I figure I can do a reasonable imitation of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (acute) within the next 30 days, and I found a physician who routinely prescribes Oxycontin for the pain of losing and the agony of defeat.

DWI
I knew that I had an empty bottle lying on the floor of my passenger side and a half of cup of champagne in the cup holder of my car. No one wants a police officer to see this damaging evidence because it is automatically used against you and is justifiable evidence for the citation being written on the spot during the police stop and it is illegal to drive with alcohol in the car anywhere/ I thought it was a routine stop to be honest and the police car was mixed in the traffic, the police car came from out of the flow of the traffic, it all happen so fast and the next thing I know I am being handcuffed and lead to the police cruiser to be driven away to the police station.
